During this battle, you can trick the First Prince into smashing through an ornate wall in the cave, which opens up a new area. After defeating him, you can access this hidden area to retrieve the Loong Scale. If the First Prince fails to break the wall, use the Wandering Wight Spirit ability to break it open yourself.
With the Loong Scale in hand, you’re now ready to hunt down the four hidden Loong Bosses scattered across the game’s chapters.
Tracking Down the Loong Bosses
As you explore the game, you’ll know you’re near a Loong Boss when you start hearing a mysterious voice reciting a poem about the boss. This serves as your cue that the battle is close.
Chapter 1: Red Loong
The first of the four Loong bosses, Red Loong, can be found in Chapter 1, deep within the Forest of Wolves. Begin by spawning at the Outside the Forest Shrine, then follow the path ahead, taking the first left. Continue taking left turns until you reach a raised bank. Jump up to find a pool with a waterfall.

Once you’re in front of the waterfall, the game will prompt you to use the Loong Scales, which will stop the water and reveal the entrance to Loong Claw Grove. Inside, you will face Red Loong, the first of the secret Loong bosses.
Chapter 2: Black Loong
Black Loong is your next target, located in Chapter 2 at the Rockrest Flat Shrine in the Fright Cliff region. Once you reach the shrine, look to the right, where you’ll see a falling wall of sand at the top of a staircase. Use the Loong Scales to stop the sand, revealing the entrance to the Hidden Loong Cavern, where the Black Loong awaits.

Chapter 3: Cyan Loong
In Chapter 3, you’ll find the Cyan Loong on Turtle Island, located in the Bitter Lake region. As you progress through the story, you’ll eventually encounter a massive turtle that comes to life. After completing a boss fight on the snowy peaks of the turtle’s back, you’ll have the chance to explore more of the island.

Head to the right side of the turtle’s back to find the Cyan Loong, frozen at the island’s edge. Engage this boss and defeat it to continue your quest.
Chapter 4: Yellow Loong
The final Loong boss, Yellow Loong, is located in Chapter 4, near the Relief of the Fallen Loong Shrine in the Webbed Hollow area. However, Yellow Loong will only appear after you’ve defeated all three previous Loong bosses.

Yellow Loong is the most powerful of the group, so be prepared for a tough fight. Upon defeating this final boss, you will earn the Sea-Supporting Tendon, a crucial item used to craft the Golden Loong Staff. You will also receive the Golden Carp Curio, some Kun Steel, and most notably, the Golden Lining Transformation, which grants powerful new abilities.
