How to Unlock Speed Boost for Speeder in Star Wars Outlaws?

In the expansive universe of Star Wars Outlaws, Kay Vess is equipped with various tools to aid in her journey across different planets. One of the most crucial of these is her Speeder, a reliable companion bike that helps in navigating the vast open world. The Speeder isn’t just for transportation; it’s an essential asset for exploring missions and traversing diverse terrains. However, to maximize its potential, upgrading the Speeder is necessary, and one of the most valuable upgrades you can obtain is the Speed Boost.

The Speed Boost ability enhances your Speeder, allowing it to move faster, which can be incredibly useful for escaping dangerous situations or simply getting from point A to point B more efficiently. Here’s a detailed guide on how to unlock this essential upgrade.

Initiating The Mechanic’s Quest in Star Wars Outlaws

To begin your journey towards unlocking the Speed Boost, you must first engage in a specific questline. This questline starts after you complete the New Tricks mission. Upon completion, you will be directed to speak with the bartender at Daruda Diner located in Jaunta’s Hope. Although the bartender doesn’t have the precise location of Selo, who is crucial for this upgrade, they will guide you to the next step: heading to Kadua to meet with a friend of Selo.

The location of Kadua will be conveniently marked on your map, making it easy to find. Once you arrive, you must locate and converse with Selo’s friend, who will inform you that Selo can be found at her shop, perched on a cliff back in Jaunta’s Hope.

After reaching Selo’s shop, you will request an upgrade for your Speeder. Selo, also known as The Mechanic, will agree but first tasks you with finding an important component for the upgrade: the Atmospheric Accelerator.

Finding the Atmospheric Accelerator and Unlocking the Speed Boost

The next phase of the quest involves locating the Atmospheric Accelerator, which is necessary to unlock the Speed Boost. Thankfully, this part of the mission is straightforward, as the map will highlight the area where the Accelerator can be found, specifically in the northwestern region of Jaunta’s Hope.

Upon reaching the marked location, you will encounter a wind harvester. To proceed, interact with the console to deactivate the harvester, which will grant you access to a tunnel. As you venture inside, you’ll come across an energy barrier that blocks your path. To bypass this barrier, send your trusty companion Nix through a nearby vent. Nix will deactivate the barrier, allowing you to continue deeper into the facility.

Navigating through a series of platforming challenges, you’ll eventually reach an office where the Atmospheric Accelerator is stored. Retrieve it from the terminal and make your way back out using the Grapple Hook to traverse the highlighted points.

Once you’ve successfully acquired the Atmospheric Accelerator, return to Selo’s shop. Handing over the component will complete the quest, and in return, Selo will unlock the Speed Boost for your Speeder. With this ability now available, your Speeder will have a significant advantage in both speed and maneuverability.
