How to Get Credits for Preeban in Star Wars Outlaws

In the thrilling world of Star Wars Outlaws, credits are essential to progress, especially when dealing with characters like Preeban. To gain his assistance in fixing your broken data spike, you’ll need to gather 100 credits. This task not only sets the stage for the game’s mechanics but also introduces you to Nix, your invaluable companion. Here’s a detailed guide on how to efficiently gather those credits for Preeban.

How to Acquire credits to pay Preeban?

When you first meet Preeban, he refuses to help unless you pay him 100 credits. To collect these credits, you’ll need to use a mechanic that quickly becomes a cornerstone of your gameplay: Nix Mode. This mode allows Nix, your loyal sidekick, to interact with the environment in ways you wouldn’t be able to on your own.

Starting from Preeban’s shop, take the steps leading down in front of you. Follow the alley until you find another alley branching off to the left. Venture down this path, and at the end of the alley, you’ll spot a cloaked security officer. This is your first target.

  1. Activate Nix Mode: Hold down the Alt key on your keyboard or press the left shoulder button on your controller to activate Nix Mode. This highlights interactive elements in your surroundings.
  2. Identify the Target: In Nix Mode, hover your cursor over the guard. You’ll notice an option to steal from him.
  3. Send in Nix: Press the prompted button to command Nix to approach the guard and snatch some credits. Once Nix returns, collect the credits from him.

After successfully stealing from the first guard, retrace your steps back down the alley and turn left at the end. Here, you’ll encounter another guard. Use the same tactic:

  1. Activate Nix Mode: Identify the guard as a target.
  2. Steal with Nix: Command Nix to steal more credits.

Once you’ve collected credits from the second guard, head back toward Preeban’s shop, but this time, explore the street to the left. Continue down the road until you spot a small, concealed alcove on the right side, partially obscured by pipes.

  1. Stand Near the Steps: Position yourself just below the steps leading into the alcove.
  2. Send in Nix: Use Nix Mode to highlight another credit stash and send Nix to collect it.

Return to Preeban with the credits

By following these steps, you should now have the 100 credits required to get Preeban to fix your broken data spike. This marks the beginning of your journey in Star Wars Outlaws, where you’ll rely heavily on Nix to gather essential resources like credits, weapons, and even critical information. The stealing mechanic is not just a one-time use; it will become a vital tool as you navigate through various challenges, unlock hidden areas, and gain advantages over your foes.
