In Black Myth: Wukong, one of the key tasks you’ll encounter involves locating three elusive bells hidden across the game’s early areas. These bells are crucial, as they unlock a path to obtaining your first Vessel ability, a significant milestone in your journey. The Whiteclad Noble, an imposing adversary, mentions these bells after his defeat, guiding you to embark on this challenging quest.
In this guide, we’ll walk you through the locations of the three bells, each of which can be found after defeating a specific boss. Once all three bells are rung, you’ll gain access to the Secret: Ancient Guanyin Temple, a hidden area with formidable challenges and valuable rewards.
Bell Locations Overview
Each of the three bells is located in a distinct area, guarded by a powerful boss. Defeating these bosses not only allows you to progress in the game but also grants you the opportunity to ring the bells that they protect. Let’s dive into the details of where to find each bell.
1. Bell #1: Forest of Wolves
The first bell is found after defeating the Yaoguai Chief: Guangzhi in the Forest of Wolves. To reach it:
- Start at the Outside the Forest shrine.
- Follow the path straight ahead until you reach a small wooden bridge.
- Cross the bridge and navigate around the rocks, where a Wandering Wight will be patrolling.
- Continue to follow the path marked by braziers until you reach a gate between the rocks, leading to the boss arena.
- Defeat Guangzhi, and after the battle, the bell will be available to ring nearby.
2. Bell #2: Bamboo Grove – Snake Trail
The second bell is located in the Bamboo Grove, Snake Trail, after your battle with Yaoguai Chief: Guangmou. Here’s how to find it:
- Begin at the Bamboo Grove shrine and ascend the stone steps to the right.
- Once you reach the wooden bridge, jump over the right-hand side and proceed down the hill.
- In the area filled with skeleton enemies, hug the right-hand wall until you reach the boss arena.
- After defeating Guangmou, you’ll find the bell up a set of stairs at the back of the arena. Ring it to proceed.
3. Bell #3: Bamboo Grove – Marsh of White Mist
The final bell is discovered in the Bamboo Grove, Marsh of White Mist, following the intense battle against the Whiteclad Noble:
- After defeating the Whiteclad Noble, do not enter the nearby building.
- Instead, turn left and make your way through the canyon.
- Along this path, you’ll encounter a few enemies and a notable wolf hanging from a tree.
- Continue forward to find the third and final bell. Ring it to complete this part of your journey.
Unlocking the Secret: Ancient Guanyin Temple
Once all three bells have been rung, you will be transported to a hidden location known as the Secret: Ancient Guanyin Temple. This secluded area holds several treasures within a chest and introduces you to a challenging boss, Elder Jinchi, a variant of the Wandering Wight from the Forest of Wolves.
Conquering Elder Jinchi will further enhance your progression in Black Myth: Wukong, providing you with additional rewards and paving the way for future challenges. With the bells rung and the temple explored, you’ll be well on your way to mastering the trials ahead.
