Chapter 1 Location: First Encounter

Once the fight is over, continue forward until you reach a small pond surrounded by enemies. Look to your left, and you’ll notice a hidden entrance leading to a small temple. Inside, you’ll find Ma Tianba waiting for you. Engage in conversation, and while you’re there, take advantage of the meditation spot to gain a Spark.
Chapter 2 Location: The Sandgate Village
In Chapter 2, you’ll find Ma Tianba tied to a pole within Sandgate Village. To reach him, you can either enter through the main gate or sneak in from the right side. Once inside, locate him in a pavilion near a tower. Although you can’t free him at this point, don’t worry—Ma Tianba will find his way out and rejoin you later in the game. In Chapter 5, the situation for Ma Tianba takes a dire turn. After advancing through the level, you’ll encounter Pingping, who will guide you to the Furnace Valley area. Near the Valley Entrance Shrine, you’ll come across an inert cart resembling the bosses you’ve faced in this chapter. Inside the cart is Ma Tianba, now in a weakened state.
