In Once Human, Mystical Crates are unique treasure chests filled with valuable items such as weapon and armor blueprint fragments, along with essential resources. These crates are crucial for enhancing your Meta-Human by crafting new gear or fine-tuning your blueprints.
Once Human features a variety of collectibles, including Lucky Cats and Mystical Crates. While each settlement contains a Mystical Crate, additional crates can be discovered by solving puzzles that involve tracking glowing purple orbs. 12 Mystical Crates Locations in Iron River – Once Human
Just north of the starting area lies the Iron River region, home to the Dayton Wetlands. This area presents a slightly greater challenge, with most enemies being around level 20, making it more demanding than previous regions. The terrain here is characterized by dense forests and rugged mountains, where you’ll frequently encounter aggressive boars and wolves. The stronghold of Iron River is Greywater Camp, surrounded by various settlements that include towns, industrial zones, and Rosetta bases. The region also hides a total of twelve Mystical Crates, four of which can be unlocked by solving intricate orb puzzles.
- At the top of the Vulture’s Tower in Rippleby (7643, -3933), enter the warehouse and climb the Vulture’s ramps on the North side. Continue scaling the tower of shipping containers using short ladders until you reach the roof and find the chest. No orb puzzle is required.
- In the East side of Ricci Securement Point (6584, -3498), there is a glass room inside a large square building surrounded by Rosetta Agents. After clearing the agents, you’ll need a Rosetta V2 Access Card to open the door and access the crate. No orb puzzle is involved.
- On the North side of Ricci Securement Point (6576, -3473), boxes stacked up lead to a walkway on the roof of a small building. A floating purple orb is visible here, requiring careful jumps onto pipes and a paraglide to hit the orb. This location includes an orb puzzle.
- In Highland (4899, -4474), climb onto the roof using the dumpster behind the building. Use the window ledge to jump to the higher roof where the Vulture Sniper is positioned. The crate is between the air ducts to the right, and no orb puzzle is needed.
- At Refinery Pollution Point (5206, -3772), climb the metal stairways and platforms to reach the rooftop. Once at the Rift Anchor, drop to the ledge with the crate. Alternatively, paraglide from the cliff at coordinates (5014, -3950). No orb puzzle is required here.
- At Refinery Pollution Point (5149, -3636), the first purple orb is located on an electrical box next to the yellow scaffolding. This location has an orb puzzle to solve.
- In the Greywater Industrial Zone (4707, -3051), enter from the main entrance on the East side and follow the metal stairs up to the top level. Inside a metal building guarded by a Scorcher Elite, take the elevator to the bottom floor. Watch out for polluted puddles, as they can harm your sanity. No orb puzzle is involved here.
- While crossing the bridge towards Greywater Camp (5618, -3211), look for a floating purple orb on the West side of the river. This area includes an orb puzzle.
- At East Blackfell Junction (6165, -3071), enter the hospital and climb the stairs until you reach the third floor. Step out onto a ledge through a broken window, follow it around the building, and re-enter to access more stairs leading to the roof. The crate is located near the broken helipad, and no orb puzzle is needed.
- In East Blackfell Junction (6090, -3041), a floating purple orb can be found in the grass near the sidewalk. This location features an orb puzzle.
- In Alkirk (6307, -2513), follow the road up the hill to a cliff behind the building at coordinates (6306, -2549). Be cautious of the Star Walker Elite enemy before paragliding down to the crate. No orb puzzle is required here.
- At Mirage Monolith Danger Zone (6371, -2852), use the cliffs next to the Teleporter to glide to the center roof near the Rift Anchor. Drop through a narrow gap to reach the crate while fighting nearby Rosetta Agents. No orb puzzle is involved.
